LOCATION

The property is strategically located on the edge of two unique communities, Billings Bridge to the south and Old Ottawa South to the north. Given the prominent location along the Rideau River, Lofty Riverside GP Inc. is seeking to design a building that will highlight it's natural characteristics and stand the test of time.

BILLINGS BRIDGE

The Billings Bridge mall provides all of the day-to-day amenities for our residents that support a car-free lifestyle. This area is serviced by public transit with a bus stop located outside the front door that provides direct access to downtown and less than a 8-minute walk to the Billings Bridge rapid transit station.

RIDEAU RIVER

Located along the edge of the Rideau River, the site provides exceptional access to the multi-use-pathway and all of the parks and recreational amenities along this corridor, including Vincent Massey Park, Hogs Back Falls, and the Rideau Canal.

OLD OTTAWA SOUTH

The traditional main street appeal of Old Ottawa South and the Glebe have inspired the pedestrian level design of the building. Access to restaurants, retail, and entertainment in this community will enhance the quality of life for residents.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT

The surrounding area provides a significant opportunity to redevelop some of the underutilized sites along Bank Street. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to redevelop this section of Bank Street with a consistent vision that transforms the area by enhancing pedestrian experiences and adding population density to support local businesses.

Providing safe and convenient access to the multi-use pathway was a central part of ground floor design of the building. These pathways connect throughout the city and provide flexible options for residents to run, walk, and bike throughout the national capital region.

The site has convenient automotive access in all directions using key routes that include Bank Street, Riverside Drive, Bronson Avenue, and Baseline Road/Heron Road.
